Adagio Design Company is a full-service interior design firm led by mother-daughter duo Lisa Matthews & Sarah Cummings. With a knack for relationships, each client is taken on a custom journey to uncover the best plan for their space while incorporating the client’s wants & needs. 

Not only do they provide design consulting, but they also source their own products & custom upholstery -  leaving each process fully in-house. The result? A seamless, stress-free, and fun experience every time!

Lisa Matthews, Owner & Lead Designer

Lisa, founder of Adagio Design Company, uses her skills and passion to bring artistry into any home. Previously, her focus was imports and antiques, inspired by her travels and love of French design and architecture. Today, Lisa has broadened her scope to offer her seasoned expertise in residential & commercial design, paint restoration, and custom upholstery & home furnishings. 

Lisa is based out of Charlotte, NC, but services clients nationally.

Sarah Cummings, Design Associate & Marketing

Sarah, daughter of Lisa and co-designer at Adagio, uses her love of design and relationships to excel with her clients. As a mother of three young girls, she knows the  importance of having a space that is practical for your specific season without sacrificing a beautiful aesthetic. Inspired by European design, she blends traditional, modern, and eclectic to create a balanced look. 

Sarah is based out of Greenville, SC, but services clients nationally.
